Hello! My pen name is Carrie Breeze and welcome to my personal blog CarriedAway.
I first went backpacking on a travel adventure to Australasia at the age of 22. I also backpacked through the States and Canada. My first big bicycle tour was riding the Pacific West Coast from Seattle, on through mainland Mexico and back up into New Mexico to Idaho. I took my climbing and hiking gear which made for a heavy load but opened up many an impromptu hike or climb along the way.
I returned home after 17 months and the very next summer I headed off for a 4 month solo cycle through France, Spain and Portugal.
In 2007 I undertook a solo sponsored cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats for Macmillan Cancer Support.
I have two new projects lined up – hiking the Appalachian Trail and the Ubuntu Cycle which should make for a very adventurous 2015 and I am excited with the prospect of writing blogs and stories of my adventures.
The Ubuntu Cycle team are actively seeking community driven not for profit service projects to volunteer at during their tour so please do contact us if we can be of assistance or you can contact me direct using the form below. I look forward to hearing from you.
